9th year of the Championship saw the date re-arranged four times to avoid high winds and swelling seas. The Championship was finally run on the 14th January 2018 with 33 entrants. We allowed the catch to include Channel whiting with Cod taking priority. No Cod were caught on the day and the prizes were awarded to the biggest three channel whiting of the day. Rob Hustings fish won the day weighing 2.10 lb.

8th year of the Championship saw 49 entrants and another small catch year similar to 2014 with just 5 cod being caught. Daniel Mape's fish win the day weighing 21.9 lb.

The total catch was the higgest recorded in the championship history

with 47 cod being reeled in.

A mere 5 cod were caught with Ian Jone's fish winning the day.

Addtional place prizes of 4th and 5th were added so everone gained a prize. Richard Rickman won two prizes winning 5th & smallest cod.

5th year & another excellent turnout of 61 people entered. We added

more to the advertised prizes and increasing the 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes

and added 4th 5th & 6th prizes. A mere 6 cod were caught with Paul Hollyoake's fish winning the day. As only 6 cod were caught everone

gained a prize and 6th place Rob thompson also gained the

smallest cod prize too.
